Well, spiders like damp an dark places.
So, if you have a basement, get a dehumidifier down there and start making it harder for them to find water!
Everything needs water, and food and air. You cant eliminate air, so you have to elimnate water and food.
Now, eliminate the water with the dehimidifier and if you have an earthern basement, (bare earth exposed), cover it with concrete or if its too much, then just cover it with a plastic tarp for right now. This eliminates the water.
Now, keep all the bugs away from the basement, with screens in the windows, no dog feces in the basement for flies, no fruits for gnats, so that they dont have anything to feed upon, but themselves! Yep, they "will" start to do that, when the food get scarce.
Light up the place! Bugs hate the light :)
I wish you well..

YIKES!!! I hate those things!!! Actually I hate ALL spiders. We have an exterminator come out once a month to spray around the outside of our home, so we do NOT have them indoors, but I have to be very careful in the garden or flower beds. We usually spray those we find in the barns to keep the populations down as best we can, but......
I would suggest Raid or an exterminator. With the black widow, if you are bitten, you can only be treated with the anti-venom ONCE in your LIFETIME!!!
Personally I would much prefer NEVER being bitten, HA HA HA !!!
An exterminator can crawl under your house to spray where they may be hiding. It may be a good chunk of change at first, but well worth it I think!

There really is no way to get rid of them permanently... you should call an exterminator and have them spray around your home.
