We've already got the ring, and he wants to make this special for me by giving me free reign. Trouble is, I don't have a lot of ideas! He wants to use the list I give him to customize his own way of doing this. What do you think would be the most romantic on a moderately cheap budget? Here are some more specs to help your creative juices:
1. Right now, we're attending different colleges, so he'd have to come out here. His brothers have an apartment in town, but he doesn't have one.
2. We're going to Disneyland in the middle of October, for all you guys with great Cali-centered ideas
3. I'm a bit of a romantic, and I'd like for things to be personal. So I don't want like a skywrite or billboard thing going, but a public place is still okay as long as we do something else first
4. Okay, I lied a little on the last spec. I'm REALLY a romantic. As in, some chick flicks make me cry.

Thanks a bunch!!! :)

I don't know about this one? It's kind of like asking for a particular gift and then acting surprised when you open the box! If you are a true romantic, let him propose to you in any way he comes up with. Y'all are sort of doing everything backwards. You've already got the ring, I thought you either get a ring DURING the proposal, or you go shopping for it AFTERWARDS!!?? I'm a bit old fashioned I guess, I didn't even want to pick out my own ring, I wanted my husband to pick it. Everything doesn't have to come straight out of a bridal magazine, just do your own thing. The most important part of this whole scenario is that you're getting married to the person who you might spend the rest of your life with.

For good examples go to brides magazines. They have so many examples. For me I would love a romantic night on the beach or a weekend get away in the mountains. My ultimate proposal? Horseback riding in the mountains, laying under the sky when he proposes. I've dreamt about that since I was a kid. Hope you find some good ideas.
With disneyland, there are so many fairytale areas, use that. But don't do it's a small world, it'll drive you nuts.
Maybe on the balcony of the mark twain boat, sometimes they do night rides. Try the site below for more.

The best way for him to propose is to let him come up with how he's going to propose to you....it makes no sense that you have to arrange your own proposal to yourself...that's funny...first of all, if this guy wants to marry you he should know what your interests are and what they're not and he should combine all that information together and hopefully propose to you either some place you both love or maybe where the first of you went on a date at...little things like that can mean the most...so next time he asks you again tell him.."Surprise me!"

in california ask him to do on a sail boat while your sailing it will be calm and romantic

for more of a fun way, go on a picnic and he can hide it in the basket as you are pulling things out the ring will be at the very bottom.

Let him come up with a way that way it will be a surprise!:)

He could dress up as mickey mouse at disneyland, like with the parks actual parks costume and propose then. and then he will take the head part off. so people wont think you are marrying a mouse!

Go on a wonderful walk on the beach at around sunset and he can propose when the sunsets

Do you *really* want to choreograph your own proposal? That sounds kind of "puppetesque."

Don't give him a list. There are some things that we have to rely on our men to take complete responisbility and credit for. Tell him that you trust him to do this on his own and that it is the *marriage* you want, most of all. This would be a good pre-marital exercise in expressing your total confidence and faith in his ability to make you happy. No matter what he does, you better act surprised and thrilled! All the best to you :-)

tell him to surprise you any way he feels like proposing. It's suppose to be a surprise any ways. Tell him if he doesn't know you enough to come up with something on his own then he needs to spend a little more time with you to get to know you before he makes such a critical move in the relationship.

In all honesty I think you should have him propose to you on a warm night right when you two are cuddling in bed. While witnesses are great, I think marriage is between two people and the intimacy when he proposes to you in bed would be amazing.

I think this guy is a loser for asking you to do this. If he wants to propose to you and if he wants it to be special to you, tell him to get off of it and think with his own head. He can't cheat and have you or anyone else plan your proposal.

Tell him to use one of his own ideas, and be creative when he asks. Why should you make the choice? He is the one proposing to you.
