Well, I may be opening myself up for some bashing as well, but...
My husband and I live in a 20 by 25 foot cabin. There is literally NO privacy. The place is set up with the bare necessities and that is it...no closets, no doors. Needless to say, we frequently answer nature's call in each other's presence...that is not to say that we are staring at one another intently watching, but we are aware of what the other is doing. Now to get to your question...
Personally it does not bother me. Some people will prefer to keep certain things private, and I don't blame them one bit. It's your decision. Everybody eliminates waste from their body, so what's the big deal? You wouldn't be normal if you didn't. We are just very open about that sort of thing. Will the romance go away? Most likely...but I can't think of a single couple I know of that hasn't lost their romance, and for most, it would have happened whether they used the john in front of each other or not. The real romance, for me, is seeing the other person at their worst, knowing their bad habits, knowing that they can be gross sometimes, and still loving them.

I don't think leaving the door open while you're using the bathroom should affect the romance in your marriage. Sometimes I close the door just to cut down on odor escaping or if I have to take care of some femine hygiene issues but generally I leave the door ajar if not entirely open. It doesn't sound like you have kids yet but rest assured that if and when you do all privacy will evaporate anyway so you're halfway there. I would reconsider closing the door only if your husband says something. What we do in the privacy of our own homes is no one else's business. (Pun intended)

I personally could never go #2 with the door open. #1, yes, if we were in a hurry. I think bathroom time should be kept to yourself. You should ask him if he minds, but tell him to be honest and not just tell you what you want to hear since it's something that you've been doing in front of him. Do you mind walking by when he is using the restroom? Everyone has a different style of relationship though, if he honestly doesn't mind and you aren't ashamed to do that...then yall should continue on as you are.

Eh, I don't see much wrong with that... though I close the door when I go to the bathroom. Most guys will end up leaving the door open when urinating if they're comfortable with you. I think that can be kindda gross, but as long as they don't pee on the seat, I don't really complain. I don't think it'd affect romance either way, but I'm not exactly into scat play or water sports... heh.

I wouldn't worry about it- if it bothered him I would hope he would have asked you to close the door by now. Everybody is different- we never close the bathroom door at our house. We will have entire discussions while one of us is going "du du". BTW-If we have company, we do close the door lol. Our best friends can't even go to the bathroom with the door open at their house, much less with someone in the same room or talking to them.

If I need to go number 2, I close the door. If the kids are sleeping and I just have to pee, I leave it open. But if its that time of the month I always close the door because I know that ANY guy does not want to see you do what you have to do with your feminin products LOL

I never close the door whe Im in there. Even if I do, my 3yr old will come open it and say "mommy what ya' doin'" So, no I dont think its gross. My husband never leaves the door open, even if I come in when he;s in the shower he freaks out. So, if your husband minds, Im sure he will tell you, or just not look. You could always ask him. But, if he's never said anything. I doubt he cares.

Close the door, and don't expose him to stuff like that . Only the old women do that to their poor old husbands. Always try to keep some things private. No man wants to smell of a women, when she does her jobs. CLOSE THE DOOR !!!

As long as your comfortable and so is he then you can leave the door open, but does he leave the door open when he goes to the bathroom when your around? If he does then I'm sure he doesn't have a problem with it.

To each his own. I for one like to be private in the bathroom. For the exact same reasons you put as the reason why it doesnt bother you, are the same reasons why I choose to keep that one part separate. besides- I am GLAD he shuts the door- and turns on the fan! Lord knows i would pass out if he didnt!
Trust me, romance wont go away if he cant see you tinkle or poo...
