9th grade science....
Pick a common happening, develop a theory about is, and describe an experiment you could perform to test your theory.

Give me some ideas...and remember a COMMON HAPPENING.

By the way, this is in Entertainment because people look their for questions.

People slow down their driving speed when they see a policeman on the side of the road.

Experiment by finding where police have put cardboard caricatures up, and use their data.

The higher the temperature of oil is the less viscouse it is.
Set up 5 different temperatur water baths with the same amount of the same type of oil in for the same amount of time.
Then use a microscope slide tilted at an angle to time the speed that is slides down. Don't forget to do repeat readings for a fair test.

i'm only in 8th grade but when you said COMMON HAPPENING i thought well a common happening i think would be a coinsidince, is it not?

I don't know what your teacher told you, but the word should be
"hypothesis" not "theory"
