Is there anyway to ease the pain after my baby has turned downward preparing for birth. My mom and others tell me to walk a little to help him along more, but after I get home I'm in sooooo much pain. What should I do?

Try swimming, or taking a nice warm bath after work. If it's possible, see if you can drop your hours at work, or if you can have more time to sit at work. This will help relieve some of the pressure. There isn't anything, short of birth that can relieve it all, so you just have to hang in there. Tylenol will help some. Swimming is one of the best things for pregnancy. It will take the weight off your back, belly and pelvis so they can rest. Just make sure to stay close to the sides of the pool and don't get into too deep of water. Your balance isn't that great right now, so be careful when getting in and out of the pool. Look into some prenatal swim classes, they help with all the other aches and pains too.

There is also a belly belt that you can get. Try motherhood maternity. They have a pretty good one that really helps to hold the belly up. It also helps with back pain. Worth a shot!!!

Good luck!!!!!

There is not much you can do. You can try doing some different birthing positions (like Lamaze) to ease the pressure. Try getting on hand and knees (use a thin pillow under knees) and rock back and forth. This might help. It really just depends on how the baby is positioned.

The only thing that will really help is having your baby and that will come soon enough. Hang in there, Mama!

She had a lot of foss labor she though but they were 3mins apart found out a blatter infection and they gave her meds and the next day in the evening she delivered. Two pushes and a half and hour to the hospital. Baby was here.

I'm sorry to tell you but the baby is ready to come and there is really nothing you can do at this point but to stay off your feet as much as possible. I know that everyone is telling you that you need to walk as much as you can but if that hurts you so much then don't do it!

Remember there would be no baby without mommy so take care of yourself and do only what is comfortable to you.

You poor thing. I remember being there. I am sorry to tell you that you don't have many options.
1. You could take a warm bath but watch your temp. ( Its not good for the baby if the water is any higher than your body temp)
2. You could buy a belly brace. Your doc can tell you where to buy one.
3. You can take Tylenol reg strength.
I'm sorry but that's about it. Good luck!

Let nature take it's course. When the baby is ready he will come. I have had 3 and if you let them start telling you what to do now, when he comes they will try to take over. It's a given with new moms and grandma's. Because the truth is they have done this with you and your siblings. They want to make up fo what they didn't get to do with you!! So relax, rest and just wait.

Don't overdo it. Rest when you can with your feet up or in a foot spa. Have a nice warm shower with the water spraying on your back and belly. Walking is a good help to get things going, but you need to take it easy also. GOOD LUCK (when your baby is in your arms all of this will ahve been worth it, trust me)

Sit in the tub! Water is one of God's greatest gifts! The water decreases the gravity and pressure, if only for a while!

Probably the best thing is to stay off your feet. have your husband rub your legs and feet and keep them raised when your lying down or just resting.
