successsful study begins in class

1. attend all classes
2. ask questions in class so you are completerly clear on the subject being taught
3. make careful notes of the points made by the instructor
4. read all assigned text and make notes of points arising in text not covered in class.

Study itself

Organize your study time to provide time to cover all notes you have made.

Make a list of all topics covered and the number of points under each
Study schedule should allow equal time for each note. Have time left over for a final review and time for rest before exam. Usually a good idea not to study the night before the exam

Review every topic and recall from memory the points under each topic. refer to notes when stumped.

make a list of topics and the number of key points in each topic. Memorize this list of numbers

Finally review each topic recalling first how many points are in the topic and second what these points are.Knowing the number of points you are looking for keeps you from wasting time looking for more points than exist. very important in an exam where time is essential and must not be wasted on seeking more information from memory than exists in the course,.or wasting too much time if you have recalled enough for the examiner to give a pass.

note

you can highlight those points that your instructor particularly stresses and make sure you know these since she will look for the points she stresses in class.

On the other hand cover all the class and text material methodically in you notes and review.. In this way you wont get caught out by an unexpected question

Remember that exam papers are marked with red ticks. one red tick for each correct ;point in your answer. The objective of notes and the study procedure outlined is to guarantee that you get the maximum red ticks on your exam.

i emphasize: get clear the points in class and make them into notes you can use for study and review.Organize study to insure adequate time for every topic in accordance to the points covered in each topic.

It works. good luck

There are plenty of different things that can trigger better studying. You can be a hearing learner, you have to hear it to learn it. You can be a reading learner, you have to read it yourself to learn it. Or you can be a hands on learner, you can remember things by what you thought about when you read it or if you and your friends said something funny about it you can bring that back because you remember it. But find out which kind you are and do what every body else is saying Make sure you go to class and pay attention, if your like relly young to when your in college, youre supposed to get 9hrs and 15mins of sleep and that actually helps you remember what you need to remember, because, in those last two hours of sleep your brain sorts out what you need to remember that will effect you in the next days, weeks, months. If you get a paper cut, that night your brain will kick that out, because other than it hurting a little bit the next day, it probably wont effect you. so make sure you get sleep, and cramming all night isnt hardly as effective as getting your sleep and remembering what you learned before, and a quick cram in the morning or what ever. hope i helped

Study every day for about awhile at a time, but make sure to take short breaks in between. The night before you have an exam, get to bed not too late so you won't be tired. The day of the test make sure to eat a good breakfast and you should do fine.

spend 15 minutes reviewing each class you had the day. The more you review, the easier it is to remember. After 3 days, you can only remember 30% of what the teacher said, if you don't review.

help a friend study. that way you'll have a thorough understanding of the topic by being able to explain it to someone else and help them understand as well.
