I just wanted to correct a false statement someone made above...
You CAN use PC100 memory in a PC133 motherboard... it works on almost every PC133 enabled motherboard. The memory will only be working at PC100 level though.
You CANNOT use PC133 memory in a PC100 motherboard.
The numbers themselves represent the speed at which the data is transferred to and from the memory chip. So, PC133 will run faster than PC100.

100 and 133 mean the speed of the BUS
100mhz and 133mhz is the speed at which the CPU can move data from the RAM to the CPU.
Faster the bus speed, better.
But installing pc133 ram on a computer with bus speed 100 will not work (or vice versa)

Wow those are previous. fortuitously ony the cost. the two will paintings interior an identical socket. we basically threw out or final sdram 133 this vulnerable, in spite of the fact that it ran the two 133 and a hundred so do no longer difficulty. the 133 is somewhat swifter wish this helps

That number is the speed. However some RAM works on some board and some doesn't. It's a bit of a guess as to what will work and what won't! Good luck.
