Yes, you can definitely change your ss#, especially if you have had your identity stolen or someone is threatening you and has your ss# (an abusive ex boyfriend or spouse, for example).
You have to contact the SS Administration to find out more. You can find them on the web. Just do a search.
Don't fall for any scams, though. Only do this through the SS Administration.

there is however.......... unless you can prove to the secret service your number is being used for terrorism or major fraud then no. your number is your number. just because billy joe got a license in your name/social they wont change it, tech, its your responsibility to fix everything. credit card/bank fraud doesnt count either unless you go over a high amount and it keeps on going. so youll just have to live it out.
