I use Neutrogena. It seems to work fairly well. It makes your skin smooth and feels refreshing.

One session of going to an actual doctor to get microderm = 5 sessions on a home microderm kit.
It does work but, of course, the doctors have a much more powerful system, but the neutrogena one does work, it just takes longer.

I have had microdermabrasion at a spa. From what I know about home kits they are not nearly as effective. They will exfoliate, but you would probably have to use it 20 - 50 times to get the same result as one professional treatment.

I see big differences in my skin from microdermabrasion @ home. My skin is softer and it glows. I have gotten many compliments. My kit cost double of what the neutrogena's cost though.....so that might be the reason it works well! You get what you pay for!

It takes a long time removing only the uppr layer of skin, which removes blemishes. It will not remove achne scars, but will make the appear smaller because the red associated with them is removed. It does work at doing that. Do not do it more than what is recommended, unless you want scabs on your face.
