Just buy one at a pet store. We had a red tailed boa for about 10 years. Bandit, our snake, was about six inches long when we first bought her and was 10 feet long and eating rats when we gave her up. They are great pets. They eat once a week and poop once a month. When they get huge they are hard to handle though and we read where some people were strangled by their pet snake so we decided to give her up.

Go to you local vet and talk to a herpeotologist, most vets have one (so pretty much go to the biggest vetrenary clinic in your area. Most herpeotologist have contact with reptilian breeders, and most likely yours will too.
A friend of mine had a Burmese Python, and it was goreous, but before buying a snake you must think that (at least in the case of large snakes such as the Burmese Python) they can get up to 20 feet long, and weigh 200 lbs! Just for a hatchling you need a 55 gallon tank which pircewise usually runs around 300 and up dollars. You'll have to breed rats or mice, and eventually rabbits to feed the thing. And if you run out of food, they will attack your hand if it has even the slightest smell of food. Plus dealing with mouth rot which is common, smelly, and reoccurent, the prices of these snakes is enormous. If you have the tools, the deication, and the stomache to deal with all this and also realize that large snakes are NOT friendly and do not like to be handled, then as I said go to your local vet and talk to them about getting in contact with a herpeotologist.
GOOD LUCK!

Look in the classified section of the newspaper. If you don't see anything after a few days, you'll probably just have to go to a pet store.

Call your local zoo and see if they have suggestions or just go by the pet shop and buy one.
