I am going to Vegas with my sister and my best friend. We will be arriving Wed Oct 18 and leaving on Sun Oct 22. I need help with an itinerary. I have been to Vegas once before and my sister and best friend have never been. There are soooo many things to do I can't wrap my head around anything long enough to decide on what to do. We want clubs, lounges, shopping, food etc. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also has anyone ever purchased the VIP club passes from Ebay? Do they work?

There is definitely too much to know for you to "wing it". You really need to do research, or get someone to do it who is into details. Check the sites http://www.vegas.com or http://www.vegas4visitors.com Both have lots of information divided into categories for you to go through. Take notes, figure out what's closest. I do this every time I go to Las Vegas, and I've been there about a dozen times in the past 5 years.

We stayed at The Palms and it was fun if you're young and into the club scene--it's off the strip though, so you'd have to be prepared to take a free shuttle or taxi back. They had some great room specials during the week. Also, their buffet is actually cheap ($6) and good, and the Mexican restaurant in the lobby is great.

Also for food, we had the buffet at the Paris Las Vegas resort and it was the most amazing food. Awesome, about $25 each.

For clubs, we went to Ghostbar at the Palms, on the 57th floor (I think). It was cool out on the terrace--the view was amazing--but would've been better with a group of friends to chat. We didn't go to Rain because there was a Scrubs cast party so only SOME VIPs got in, most waited in line for hours and got turned away.

For shows, hands-down, the most amazing show I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot) is O (Cirque du Soleil, at the Bellagio). It's pricey ($150/ticket) but worth every penny. It is similar to other Cirque shows featuring acrobatics and visual effects but uses water and has an amazing amphibious stage.

My fave place to (window) shop was at the new shopping area at The Wynn (very, very high-end, but great architecture and people-watching) and The Fashion Show Mall--across the Strip from Wynn. :)

You HAVE to see the Bellagio Fountains. They go off every 15 minutes from sunset to midnight or so.

The Stratosphere is expensive, but worth it, especially if you go for lunch. Minimum meal is $16 or so, but you get to ride up for free (normally $9-10 each). Incredible view.

I usually research online to see who and what is playing during your stay. If you want someone specific, try to get tickets online if reasonable....call hotel to see on tickets. Try to plan your events or whatnot with downtown being with downtown so you aren't wasting lots of money on taxis. The bus is cheap but crowded...and traffic can be insane. Have fun and go for all the freebies you can find...lots of good deals to be had!

Stay at the Wynn. You'll have the best lodging, dining and activities at your fingertips combined with a beautiful, new casino and a very customer-service oriented staff.
