Oh, that is a tough one... It's mind over matter. Learn to count your blessings and be thankful for the people who do mean you good. Because the pain isn't worth it. It inly brings negative energy to you and your friends. Let that other person choose their path and you choose yours.

We as humans have a hard time being rejected. Acceptance is important to us. We are social creatures by nature, so we thrive on positive social encounters.
There are some of us, however, that thrive on confrontation with others, like sociopaths, for example. Not that everyone who dislikes humanity is a psychopath...but that's besides the point.
I know from personal experience that confrontation and feeling angry do not make me indifferent about someone who I do not like. Hate, or disliking someone is a strong emotion...if you felt nothing about that particular person, it would be indifference.
As for not letting it bother you, I would consider the source. Does the person have a reason for disliking you? Or is he just a bad person with negativity around him all the time.
To remedy all the bad feelings that you have, I would do good things and incorporate positive things into your life. Making good from bad is always a nice place to start, and it may take your mind off of things. Good luck!

Because despite it all you're a caring person and you hate the thought that someone doesn't like you or is intentionally doing something to piss you off....

Im the same....just gotta think that maybe they do it BECAUSE it bothers you so much?

I just put it to the back of my mind and get on with the important things in life..!

Gosh, I don't think I would let it bother me unless the last part is not true. If it bugs a person so much, he/she needs to think deeply about why that is.
