The Mousterian Neanderthals were the earliest inhabitants of the area known to archaeologists, and have been estimated to date to c. 200,000 BCE.

The first anatomically modern humans to live in the area were the Kebarans. Recent paleoanthropological evidence suggests that Kebarans may have arrived as early as 75,000 BCE and shared the region with the Neanderthals for millennia before the latter died out.

Next came the Natufians, the Yarmukians, and the Ghassulians. The Semitic culture followed on from the Ghassulians.

Thanks for the question... questions like this are one of the reasons I love Y!A. I wasn't really sure how far back you intended to go, though!

Palestinians. The middle east has always been the home of those of darker complexion than say any anglo group from europe or asia. Any1 who says anything else is either lyin or uninformed. From Eqypt, to Turkey to Iran, there is no anglo group that originally inhabited that area, they ALL invaded. It started witht he Romans and the most recent was the British. Now I didnt go as far back as the other dude there so if u talkin that far then yeah, he's right, but if we're talkin modern times it was not the jews.

Probably dinosaurs. Then I would guess Israelis. The land that was given to Israel was desolate land with nothing on it. A few tribes camped there occasionally.

And how far back to you actually want to go?

Well, its been said that history goes to the victors, and the victors write the history books (in this case, the Bible).
So, it would only make sense that the Jews (a.k.a., Israelites, Hebrews) were the first.
