Ok when people sing opera and sing pop, what do they use to keep their throat moist from drying?

I'm not sure about opera, but i know John Lennon used to chew gum

I also know for a fact that olive oil is the choice. Many opera singers and pop use this method. It coats the throat instead of just wetting like water.And if I might add, it's pretty healthy for you.

Drink warm fluids of course, but what I have found is that the room temperature is really a big factor, too hot or too really irritates my throat. So regardless if I have something to drink, if the room temperature is bad, particularly too hot, you can forget it.

Green chillies. It may sound strange to you, but it makes your voice smoother and helps prevent dryness of your throat.
