He sais it's too dangerous, but i don't see it that way. I'll just be sitting in his patrol car, i don't have to go chase anyone.
should I just drop it and listen to him? cause i keep asking him a lot about it and it's anoying him and he still sais "no"

First of all: Most police dept. Insurances won't let someone go along just for the "ride."
Second: Even if a dept. thinks it's ok it is dangerous and you can be killed. Imagine if you will- He gets into a car chase and either bullets are flying and/or his car gets tipped over- Just where does that leave you?
Third: If you were riding with him and things got "Hot" would he have his mind on his job or you?
Cut him some slack and drop the issue, he'll love you more for it.

I don't think I would be brave enough to do that. Being a cop is a dangerous job and you never know when you will be put in a dangerous situation. I would just let it drop and listen to him. He is doing this because he cares about you and doesn't want to put you in any danger.

Perhaps u r not as stupid as you sound. What will hubby do if he does get a call while u r in the car? Take you home? Kick ur dumass out of the car first? Ask to ride with another cop. They may have a rule against hubby/wifey riding in same death-mobile leaving orphans behind.

Let it go.
For weeks on end patrols can be boring, then with no warning they can get much too interesting. Just like the patrols I went on in Afghanistan.
He is going to have to constantly divide his attention between the belligerent drunk driver and you, the untrained, unarmed amateur.
You could get him killed.
You have no idea what you're asking for and this is one time to shut up and pay attention.

my fiance is a 9-1-1 operator who has done ride-a-longs with cops. it can get dangerous. you should let it go and give your man a big hug for wanting to keep you safe and protected, not only from others, but also from your naive whims.

He is at work you know. Do you see any other female riding with their husband around in the police car. What is it that you really want to ride for. Is he allowed to go to your job with you until you get off? or does your boss allow that. I think you should let it go my sister doesnt aske her husband to ride with him in his police car and he has been on the force for 11yrs now and she never has rode with him.

He is just being a man and protecting his woman, you should ask him for a tour of the cop shop if you want to get involved but it his job and he just don't want you to get caught up in a bad situation.

Listen to your husband. He knows what it is like out there and only wants to keep you safe. Don't push it he probably would like to keep you far away from that world. He must really love you.
