Some females can not tell when they are ovulating and some can. Some signs that signal that you are ovulating are: 1) Your basal body temperature will raise, so you can take your temperature every morning and look for an increase. 2) You may have a clearish/whitish sticky type discharge. 3) Some females claim to have light pains or cramping near one of their ovaries. You could always buy an ovulation detector kit. Signs of ovulation should not last long because an egg is only viable for up to 24 hours.
It is possible to get pregnant a day or two before your period however most women ovulate about 14 days after the start of their period. However, every females body is different.

the easiest way for you to determine that would be to get hormone test strips, they'll tell you quite precisely what your fertile and infertile days are. outside the best thing is to get to know your body really well, because then you'll probably learn to distinguish the different phases of your cycle. some women will experience mild abdominal pains when ovulating, a lot will feel more sweaty and flushed than usual because of the slight change in body temperature, or sometimes your skin might show symptoms too, get dryer or oilier than usual. if you want to make a pregnancy happen, wouldn't the easiest way be just to stay at it like rabbits?

if your cycles are regular, count back 14 days from the day you start your period. not from the day you begin. if you have 28 day cycles you ovulate on day 14, 29 day cycles , day 15, 30 day cycles - day 16, etc. also your discharge will be like eggwhites, slimy and clear and lots of it when you are ovulating. Some women can feel cramps in their ovaries also (i do). being horny, for lack of a better word is a good sign too, hormones make you that way when you are ovulating.

As Mina is saying. I have 3 children. After your period, approximately 12 to 14 days you will notice this creamy, white, thick, sticky, discharge. This discharge is delivered when you are ovulating. This discharge is there to help the sperm swim to the egg and it kills all bacteria that may enter the vagina. Watch for it. Do it as much as you can when you see this discharge. Good luck!

You must not have gone to the right sites then.
You can buy an OPK - ovulation predictor kit - and determine it that way.
You can chart your temps every morning and determine it that way.
You can use a ferning test and detemine it that way.
You can look for EWCM (egg white cervical mucous) that shows up mid cycle, and assume it that way.
It's a mystery all around though.

I know as far as I go, I can't help but honestly think about sex and you feel unusually sensual, kind of like you're at a sexiness peak!
Your vagina may omit a sticky, milky white and sometimes stringy fluid... which means your ovulation is in full swing and that your cervical mucus is ready to nurture sperm to their destination. If you feel kind of "wet" down there, chances are you're ovulating.

From what I understand, unless you have a painful cyst on your ovary (or something of that nature) you cannot tell you're ovulating by physical symptoms. Try getting an ovulation tracker at your local pharmacy.
