When someone doesn't respond at all to your e-mails or doesn't respond for a long time do you think it's rude?

Over a week it takes her.

Thanks for your responses. One-she has DSL and many email accounts. Two-she doesn't have a job so she has lots of time on her hands.

You never know what's going on in other people's lives. What if their computer is down, or if they are sick? There are lots of reasons, including being extremely busy. It's hard to know unless you hear from them.

Not necessarily. Their spam filter may have blocked your email. They may have forgotten about your email because they are busy with work, etc. and maybe your email got buried beneath the 100 other ones they get every day. Maybe they accidentally deleted it. It doens't mean the person is rude.
There could be a million reasons why they didn't see it, don't have time to respond, or have nothing to say in return.

it can be taken as a rude gesture, or it could mean that they are just busy, that they are going through some hard times and don't have a chance to email as often. Or they could be nervous, trying to figure out the right words to say, or how they should explain themselves. Don't look into it that much, and don't put that much pressure on it either. Move on, and try to get your mind off the fact that you aren't at the top of their priorities right now. Try calling them, or emailing them to see how they are doing, just to check up on them, not to question why they haven't written to you yet

No. Because you didn't feel it was important enough to call or write them. Email is a less important form of personal communication and, as such, should demand less attention from the recipient.

Don't fault the respondent. Give them a ring or write them a letter. I would be more offended if they didn't respond to that.

You would have said something wrong to her or you're borring. It always happen to me. People don't talk to me, not in real life nor on the net. And now, I have stopped talking to them. It's good.
I'll tell you a very funny incident. I talked to someone who was a doctor and she said she would answer me anytime but I made a mistake. I called her ma'm and she never looked back to me. Now she's not giving me answer for my schizophrenia. I think you just have to moov on. And it shows that she's trying to avoid you.
I think all girls are like that. They just behave nice in the beginning and then they get seek of boys. I don't know it's true or not cause I don't think about it seriously. But, I've never met any good girl in my life and I don't want to and if it's possible just stay away from them.

Yes, at a certain time emails or even phone calls should be returned in a timely matter because it shows that they don't care and that is rude.

Yes. It is. But somebody could have gotten into their e-mail account and changed their password to make them miserable. Believe me. It happened to me 1 1/2 weeks ago. I lost few contacts but I still lost them. It's awful.

no i don't actually maybe they are busy and don't get on line as often as you do...I used to think like that too unless you know that person has access to internet and is on line always then maybe that would make me mad...
I sent this friend and email 2 days ago i know he checks his amil every day before work and after work and he still has not responded...but i dont think much of it

i think two things

1. they are very busy

2. they are rude and dont want to be bothered with you or have anything to do with you

I mean really the actions speaks for it self

whats considered a long time? Some people are simply not sitting at thier comps ready to respond to emails...
