ADP (adenosine diphosphate)

This is a basic molecule that cannot be converted to energy easily.

Say you have one hundred dollars and you want to buy candy but you cannot get change? What do you do? Buy one hundred dollars in candy!

So this is the same way ATP (adenosine triphosphate) works.
It acts as a little packet of energy storing as much of it as possible so that none is wasted.

There is an adsenosine molecule and 2 phosphates attached to it. Then to store energy, a 3rd phosphate is added. The energy comes from the breaking of the third bond. Remeber that the second bond is NEVER broken.

What everybody else said. It's made from ADP in your mitochondria on the crista. Then it floats around the matrix *the goo in the mitochondria* until it is released from that organelle.

In cells that do not use much atp, there are not many mitochondria. In cells that use tons of atp, like a heart cell, there are many mitochondria. Also mitochondria are the only organelle that performs just like a bacterium since it produces its own energy and reproduces on its own using its own rna and dna.

ATP stands for adenosine triphosphate. It is the chemical that most of your cells use for most of their energy needs (or, for that matter, most of the cells of almost all living things that we know of!).

Many, many enzymes use it to help manufacture chemicals in your body or move things around in ways they would never naturally do. ATP is very unstable (like most energetic things) so it needs to be used shortly after it is made... and it usually is! Your body consumes and regenerates its entire ATP supply more than 200 times a day! When you eat other foods, the sugars and other things are broken down and the energy used to make ATP.

Atp is what you get after cellular repiration . or as we scientists call it a product of celluar repiration. ATP is short for adenosine triphosphate. and next time read your biology book this is not a typical chemiestry question
