They hated Japanese people then too. Take a history class. It is the Middle East Arabs that are causing the problems right now. That's why.

Americans (as one example of humans) are too small-minded and thoughtless to consider other relevant information that is involved. When we feel threatened we lash out at whoever is closest to us (or closest in our minds). It's really rather ridiculous, but simply human nature. Some other cultures have different moral and spiritual practices that help them to open their minds and take the time to think more clearly, but as far as I can tell, there are very few like that here in the U.S. Americans just expect everyone else to jump on the bandwagon and believe what they believe and react how they react, not realizing that it didn't affect others like it did us. This is because of what we are taught growing up - basically that Americans are better by default. Little do many of them know that NOBODY agrees with that, except for their own feeble-minded type! You cannot, however, say that the U.S. only hates Middle Easterners. Because of silly instances we have resented other nations (say France) for doing little or nothing wrong. After all, everyone is entitled to their own opinion - if, in fact, it is an intelligent one. Therefore, Americans, GET A CLUE!!! Yes, I am American. Thank you, but I can think for myself. I am certain that there are more like me. Speak out!

yes the Japanese did attack the USA but then the USA defeated them and then brought democracy to JAPAN and allowed the royal family and democracy to co exist as is the way both do today in JAPAN
The thing that must be remembered is that the 2nd world war was not a ''Religeous war'' it was a war about teritory and even though the Germans where christians and did'nt exactly act as such they still took to proper democracy after the war.Democracy as it stands today in europe has done great more and more of the ex russian controled countries are opting for democracy...because where democracy is embraced the peoples live better lives
Look at the middle east its a mess Princes Kings Dictatorships and Military governments no structures no forward planning for their peoples no proper health programs no rights damm all

In order to CONTROL the population in a society, the government or governing body must create a tangible 'something' that will scare the people into running to the government for 'protection.'

Middle Easterners were unfortunately in the wrong place at the right time. We don't have the Germans or the Japanese or the Commies to keep our population in line, so we have to generate a newer and hipper form of fear.

Welcome to terrorism

In 1942, Japanese were hated here! But that was 60 years ago, and most alive then are not now. And, for the record, we don't hate all Middle Easterners. Just the ones that want to kill us!

No. the Japanese bombing of Pearl harbor was an act of war. A direct hit on Americas military infrastructure and our ability to make war. Plus it came from an organized nation state.

Terrorism is against civilian targets with the sole purpose of inflicting fear on people, and not against the country's ability to make war.

quite a difference.

There is a difference to those who give such things any SERIOUS thought.
Attacks on military targets (including governmental command-and-control targets) are legitimate tactics in warfare, assuming one considers war to be in any way legitimate.
Pearl Harbor was a legitimate military target. A U.S. Army column heading down a road near Fallujah is a legitimate military target, just as a Fedayeen machine gun nest is a legitimate target, even if it is in the middle of a residential neighborhood.
Targeting noncombatants, on the other hand, is terrorism. Okay?

Because they are who is terrorizing us now. We have become Allies with the Japanese. We could also become Allies with the middle easterners if they would quit the frickin' terror plots they are starting against most of the free world. But until that happens, forget it.

Why hate anybody? We do need to protect our country, but is it necessary to hate all people of a particular country or region while doing it?
