Not too early.. may be braxtin hicks. however its spelled. :)
But at 37 weeks the baby is considered full term.. so her body may be telling her something :)

Could be the baby re-positioning itself and is pushing on her back, pregnancy can take a toll on a womens body and towards the end it gets very achy! Most of the time it is safe to have a baby at 38 weeks but if delivered at 36 weeks and baby is already a healthy weight then they may want to give her an injection to make sure the babys lungs are mature.

36 weeks is fine for a baby to be delivered. A doctor would not top labor at this point. Sounds like she is going through some back labor though. She could still stay pregnant for a long while!

Only 36 weeks?!?! That's getting really close. It is not uncommon for back pain to begin, especially when the baby is already 7 pounds.

36 weeks is normal to start feeling some pain in the back and sometimes this is called false labor but don't worry when the baby is ready you all will know.

It's not too early but the back pain could just be a sign that the baby is getting into position. They sometimes do that even this far from their due date. If she has a weak back it can be very painful. My OB referred me to physical therapy which combined massage with small exercises I could do all day to prevent the stiffness and ease the back pain.

this could just be really normal case of being 36 weeks pregnant, the last four weeks are HELL if i recall correctly! 37 weeks is considered full term. every extra day is helpful.. however at 36 weeks, most babies breathe on their own and go home with their mothers as full-termers do. some may need a few days of breathing or feeding assistance or bili lights.

Hi, It sounds like labor to me and if the baby is about 7 pounds than no worries Grandma! Congrats on your new family member. All my babies were 7 pounds which was plenty big enough for me! Good luck to all of you.

could be, but not to worry...7 pounds is a good weight!!!
it could also be the baby trying to figure out a good position as there is probably not much room left....babies do put pressure on the intestines and back as you get closer to your due date.
(i had back pain with baby number 2) it's normal
