you put the penny in the grooves of the tread with the top of Lincolns head in the tread if all of his head sticks out your tire needs to be replaced. check the edges and the middle of the tread be especially careful to check the inside edge because it is harder to see.

Um I think it's like put the penny in the grooves of the tire and if the tread doesn't at least reach the top of the head on the penny then you need new tires, but I'm not sure if it was a penny or a quarter. I think a Quarter though. Check on it!

You put the penny head first into the tread of the tire. If the tread goes over the head then your tread is fine. You should check the edge of the tire not the middle.

If you feel it's time to check your tires with a penny it's time for new tires. spend the money don't try to scimp it's not worth the penny
