Because the video was never shown any love as a child.
It's a sad tale.
It never went to court as there were no 6 year olds on the jury, who were the only ones who knew how to make the video work, thereby obtaining it's confession.

Well funny you should mention this we were just talking about it.. and no it didnt go to court..because it was an accident..
what actually happened was a Big Betamax Video Recorder Fell after vibration from the DJ's sounds and landed on his head.. hense killing him!! (video kill the radio star)

video killed he radio star because more people were watching TV and not listening to moosic (that's right, I said moosic). and yes, I think it went to court last tuesday. they've been putting it off the past few years. i could be wrong. Either tuesday or monday.

i think it's a reference to the fact that with video, you didn't only have to sound good, but you had to look good too, and so a lot of stars that would've made it if only radio were about, died because they were ugly.

nobody wants to see videos of unattractive people, even if they CAN sing (sad but true)

because when video came out it proved that pretty people are better than ugly ones. and i don't think there was a court battle, you might have to ask the buggles!!
