The man I am with, Brandon ,is about to be 50,Nov 17 this year. He owns his own business and his b-day falls on Fri. I was thinking of doing something @ the office like all day. It is a small business and everyone is pretty much friends. I was thinking of having different friends stop in through out the day and have snacks and all the over the hill decorations .... got any other great ideas .

For my father's 50th about 6 years ago, I had a bunch of people show up as a surprise and they brought gag gifts. I also got a cake and had a wonderful old photo from when he was a kid imaged onto the cake (bakeries do this) Another very well-liked thing that I did for him was take a bunch of photos throughout his life and made a collage to display. This would be a neat thing to even set up at the office your man works in. I had people sign in on a t-shirt so he could keep it as a reminder of everyone that attended his special day.

We rented 50 plastic, pink flamingos and put them in the from yard with a huge "guess who's 50" sign, for when he drove up in the drive way. It's pretty neat looking if you live in a sub-division, where other people can see it too! Good luck!
