how come i've never heard of Dillards around here?

i live in south east michigan and i've never seen a dillards or heard of it.

I lived in Detroit for a while and there are no Dillard's there, I was looking for it since they're tons of Dillard's in Arizona...but it's the equivalent of Marshall Field's (which if you look for in Arizona...you won't find)...Dillard's are much more common in the southwest.

It depends on where you live... Dillards is the same thing as Macy's. As in same company, some locations in the country are called Macy's while others are Dillards.
