I had unprotected sex like 3 weeks ago, but it wasn't completely unprotected. We started to have sex without a condom and then decided to use protection, but for some reason my period is late by a week now. I don't really have any symptoms, except for I have cramps, a lot of discharge and I feel moody (which could mean my period is coming). I took a test yesterday which came out negative, but I am still worried about it. I plan on taking a blood pregnancy test in like a week, but I just wanted to get some insight from people.

It sounds to me like your period will start soon. The chances of getting pregnant were quite small in the situation you described. I've done it myself a couple of times but never got pregnant. I assume he was wearing a condom when he ejaculated? Being worried and stress can also be a reason why your period is late by the way. I think you're doing the right thing by taking a blood test though. If you're not having your period by next week. Good luck.

even though you decided to use protection after starting sex you could still be pregnant because of pre-ejaculation that also carries sperm. Even though the pregnancy test came up negative it could still be too early to tell. Maybe you should try taking a hpt in the morning when you first wake up because the pregnancy hormone is at its peak in the morning.

you may or may not be preggo. It's kinda hard to tell cause your cramping and moody. Sometimes if your too early on a pregnancy test (you don't have enough preggo hormones) it will still show as negative. I'd say if you haven't gotten your period by next week see your doctor to get it comfirmed. Grats on your attempt to wrap it up.

I would bet on the fact that you are NOT pregnant, it is rare that you get pregnant from preejaculation but it is possible. If you dont get your period soon I would definately get a test and until then, treat your body like you are pregnant, just in case, you dont want to do anything to harm the fetus. Good luck and hope the outcome is as hoped!

i would take another home pregnancy test and if its negative again chances are that your not. but the blood test is still a good thing to try. also when your active or stressed your period can be delayed. good luck

You can get pregnant from a man's pre-ejaculatory fluid. This is why the "pull-out" or "withdrawal" method is not good contraception. That being said, realistically it's extremely unlikely. Of course, there's other ways semen can be transferred into the vagina even after an external ejaculation. My gut instinct says either there is something you have not mentioned or you probably are not pregnant.

You were wreckless to endanger yourself that way.
However........ THIS time, youre probably not.
You're, likely, late due to tension.
You could even skip a period under these circumstances - continue testing to keep the nerves at bay.

Be careful in the future hon.... its important.

Well, i'd say it's a 50 / 50 chance, try this site, it will help you know when your ovulation is, and it might help before you take the blood test.

so you had unprotected sex precisely at the time you ovulated? then your chances are pretty good i'd say.
