Looking to purchase an '07, would like some input from those of you that have one.

I like all the new harleys! just test rode a street bob the other day, and wish I had another soul to sell!!!

I have a 2002 lowrider, and have wished I had an extra gear many times. I have wanted a few more horses on occasion, but the new engine isnt a power house either so that wouldnt be a big seller for me. I noticed the gas mileage is rated at 54/34. I believe mine was rated at 49/44. I average 47 loaded down with two people or by myself. I would think the new engine would average less. That 6 speed tranny sure sounds nice though.

I wish mine had a 6-speed, heard from the Harley dealer that the 96 cubic inch motor isnt any big differance....I have an 04 Road King Classic.

How about half an answer?
My '06 came with an 88 and the new 6 speed. I really like it. I dont hit sixth gear until I'm on the Interstate.
HD wants to change my inner primary bearing every 15000 miles. No cost, but they shortened the mileage between oil changes.

As the other guy mentioned, I would wait at least a year on the new engine. If you remember, the early 88s had alot of problems with the cam bearings. Hell my 02 just blew the cams!

What's not to like? The 1800cc motor makes dang near 84 hp!

I read that the 6th gear does very little at highway speed, in terms of lower revs and vibration control.
