This has worked for me & I am currently at the end of my 3rd pregnancy. It is called Palmers Cocoa Butter & it comes in a little tub. It is actually like a butter - kinda greasy, but it WORKS!!! I put it on EVERY DAY IMMEDIATELY after I take my shower. You just put it all over your belly & dont forget your rear-end! I didn't think about that with my 1st pregnancy & that is THE ONLY place i have any stretch marks is on my butt! It's funny you mentioned this because I went in for my 39 week exam today & my doctor commented on how nice my belly looked & how amazed he was that I was so big & NO STRETCH MARKS! Best of luck!

You're going to get stretch marks. No getting around it. But you can minimize the effects.
Pick up some Palmers' Stretch Mark Cream with Vitamin E and Cocoa Butter. Try not to gain more than 35-40 lbs, make sure you maintain a super-healthy diet and take your prenatal vitamins. Then after the baby's born, use Maderma scar treatment on them. It's expensive but it helps.
And get a tan next summer. Tanning helps make stretch marks less noticable. But do it slowly with a low-SPF sunscreen. You want to be around a long time to enjoy the baby.
Enjoy being pregnant. It's a wonderful time in life. And stretch marks are just the battle scars that show you brought a person into the world.

I'm 9 weeks preggo now, but before about 2 years ago I lost a TON of wieght (like 75 pounds) and I really wanted to get rid of my strech marks, so I went and bought a cream from revitol skin care called stech mark preventer. AND IT WORKED!!! it was slightly expensive but you don't need much at all and I still got some left over for when my belly gets big. LoL heres the website I bought it from, but you can go to any kiosk of revitol in the mall and they will have it.

Unfortunately, your skin's elasticity is mostly hereditary. So if your mom has stretch marks, chances are you will too. If you already are in good health, and exercise, that will help, and you can try rubbing cocoa butter all over. It might be all in your head and not help at all, but at least you can feel like you are making the effort!

Palmer's Brand Strech Mark Cream
Its full of cocoa butter and vitamin E...I'm 35 weeks pregnant and I put it on every morning, I'm as big as a house and I only have one little strech mark on one side and it's very faint...the stuff is great. It also works great for that itchy stretching skin on belly, breasts, hips and thighs...
Good stuff
Steer clear of the "scar serum" though...it has shark liver oil in it...I got a sample and almost yarked all over the place the second I opened it...it stinks!
Congratulations and good luck!

Your going to get stretch marks - you wouldn't be normal if you didn't....think about it, adding quite a lot of weight to your stomach (and other bits) and everything is going to shrink back into shape just as before...not. I used cream with Vitamin E in it and I have to say that it helped, I have stretch marks but not very noticeable so I would go with a cream that specifically says Vitamin E.
Make sure you put plenty on around your tummy, breasts and back mainly.....keep putting it on though. Good luck.

I used Belly butter you can get it at any store like Target...it works very well. I have some stretch marks, but they're very light and still disappering. I still use it, and my son was born 7/23/06. So it's still working on taking them away. And I am sure I would've had more if I hadn't of used it 9 months!

I used the palmers cocoa butter for strectch marks every night. I haven't gotten any stretch marks at all and I am almost 39 weeks.. Honestly though it just depends on your skin type...

Moisturize 3-5 times daily use a lotion with vitamin E there's also the Palmer's lotion and there's an Avon re-fine lotion all good to prevent and reduce stretch marks.
