Cell phone should be "banned in"
- Restaurants
- Bathrooms
- school performances (any kind!)
- Churches
And I could come up with more. I am for them.

There are enough distractions that drivers have to face without adding to it. I would even consider banning the putting on of makeup, eating or anything else that can cause any type of momentary distraction while driving. There are more and more drivers everyday thus making driving now a defensive art. In the case of cell phones, it is just as easy to pull over if you absolutely have to answer a call and talk. Headsets are available as an alternative as well.

I wouldnt care because I dont got a cell phone. But banning the use of cell phones is an ok idea, because I think cell phones are being overused for something small, especially in school. Who needs a cell phone when your friend is just a couple of hallways away....Plus, study shows cell phones are bad for your ears and brain from too much listening and is also a big disturbance to the public.

They could consider all they want, but unless it's an Amish community, it would never, ever, ever pass.

Essay, okay, if you're any good, you can write about anything. But report? How much of a report does it take to say 100% of the people would not allow such a law. (And that would include every single one of the councilpeople!)

I would agree on a ban of cell phones when people are driving.Other than that, they would have no business telling you when you can use your own phone. They shouldn't be turned on in hospitals either, but I hope everyone already knows that.

If my city did it, I would think it was due to the people who are on the council as being unwilling to accept changes.
And, I would think it's because they want to dictate to other people how they can and cannot live their lives.
I would think that they have no understanding, no consideration, no compassion, no mercy upon those who have needs or desires that are different from their own.

What!? Are they going to invade my home? My city would raise hell! I live in the second largest financial district in the country. We live on cell phones! I think some people would actually melt!

how is that legal?
in what legal precedent is there to say, you cant use your cell phone in this town?

did you misquote it maybe?

thats complete BS, and should not legally pass.
