If it is really bad you will need to see your obgyn... One way I found of preventing them is to eat at least ONE yogurt a day. It has worked for me. I have also read (it may sound wierd) that natural plain yogurt applied down there can also work (Yogurt has active cultures that break down the yeast)
But check with your doctor to be sure! Better safe!

Reduce your sugar and white flour intake.
If you get chronic yeast infection then you may have candida. Changing your diet dramatically can help this.
To get rid of it OTC try some acidophilus inserted vaginally. Or there is always monitat!

When I was pregnant I got one a month...literally. You shouldn't use anything over the counter to treat them though while you are pregnant. They can be to strong. I would reccommend going to your doctor and getting a prescription!

It is more common when you're pregnant. The doctor can tell you what to get. It usually is gone after a week of meds.

I have heard that you can get them while preggers. But if you want to naturally get rid of them, try cinnamon extract. Works wonders.
