You know each cell has its uinque adress like a1 is first cell in worksheet.

so if you have to add two coulumn say A and B and want result in C

you have to firstly write a forumal for one cells like in C1 you will write =a1+b1

after doing this , move your mouse pointer to the C1 and at the retnagle cursor. press it when it becomes , like + shape. keep pressed and drag it to downwords , to the extent of your data.
i mean to the end row of your data.

to do substraction do the same but now forumal is =a1-b1

Good luck

You can either use the sigma symbol on your tool bar, in the first open space under your column of numbers or type this in the space that you want your answer in: =sum(cell1:Cell28) . The actual cell numbers are used. Or you can highlight the cells (starting at the cell where your answer should be) and select the sigma symbol on the toolbar.

You can copy an paste this formula to adjacent cells also.
