I have been invited to a Big Event in Hollywood. This event as I have been told should be filled with Big celebrity names. No the person who asked me won't tell me what it is. Just that both the event and after parties should be huge social events.

Ok, now I am a simple country cowboy. While I was raised in Southern California back in the 1970's, there was still country there and ranches. I also know things have changed a lot too.

I know my basic wrangler, roper shirts that I wear to rodeos won't cut it there for this event. I need something unique, or maybe even custom made. I have been asked to maintain my cowboy image and myself. Yet I also want to bend a little and fit in better. I think this would help the night go a lot better.

Anyone have any suggestions on some good custom clothing makers, or really hip online clothing stores where I can find something new, different, yet cowboy/western style? Something like Tim McGraw might wear? I have the body for it.

Thanks letting us know about this. I am glad you are doing this. Go to a http://www.silverj.com/mensformalwear.html

they have a lot of formal western wear there. but I think the jeans and western shirt will stand out more and that is what he want you to do stand out.

He loves you not what you wear.
I am so glad that you have made this decision. I have always liked your style and you always seem to be so level headed.
That is what he likes about you. Besides as one country mountain man to another we can be comfortable anywhere with these city sleeker's so don't let them make you feel like you don't belong.

Ok, well lots of advice given and here's some more. Wear the boots and the jeans. Buy a white dress shirt, something with a bit of pleating down the front, not too over the top. Next if you don't have one buy a simply black/brown blazer. Wear the shirt tucked into the jeans (and don't button it all the way up, show a bit of skin), blazer over that. Coordination of the belt (yes wear a belt)/boots/blazer is not important so just make it look natural. this way you retain your own sense of self, but are dressed in a way that some of todays leading men have already been spotted. Enjoy!, oh and send me a photo!!

I don't mean to diminish your angst, but are you kidding? You could so pull off the Hollywood/Country/Glam look! Seriously, you'll look just fine in a new pair of Wranglers, a new or neatly pressed shirt, a bolo tie, black Stetson hat and a pair of Tony Lamas. If it will make you more comfortable, I think all you'll need to buy is a jacket that fits your wardrobe.

Being yourself will certainly draw more attention than trying to fit in with the rest of that crowd! Of course, you will stand out as fresh meat. . .

First you're very petite so something huge and baggy will swamp you Be lifelike in what you could placed on. do no longer purely placed on what you 'like' as such. remember you're short and you have some weigh to lose ! Tight outfits are probable out at recent - they won't do you any favours by any skill, neither will a bat wing gown to be honest. i'm uncertain the place you're - yet loads of branch shops have very own clientele. they do no longer cost something and that they might have the flexibility to furnish you advice and outfit concepts. the only I observed did no longer pressurise you into procuring the two - and that they did arise with some products i does not have regarded at two times, yet regarded great on me.

KC, dress the way you normally dress in your western style. However; were dress western style clothing. The people at these social events will care more about your personality than your clothes. Sorry to piss off my fellow Californians; but we tend not to have the best taste when it comes to social events. You might run into people wearing jeans and t-shirt; standing next to someone with a tux. I'm sure you have dress western clothing available; and if not, get off the budget and do it. It's a once in a life time opportunity. Relax and have fun!

NO! Don't wear the rancher look, it'll only make you look ridiculous and uncouth AND uncool.

Go to Rodeo Dr and shop around, and if that's too upscale for you, check out the Beverly Center or Melrose. Melrose has the hottest trends out there for men and women. For only a few hundred bucks, you can look like a million bucks and fit in perfectly well with the socialites.
