i saw him playin man times in italy.. he's great!!! he just has to get used to the new league and new teams!!! forza andrea!!!

I'd say no.
They say he has had good coaching, and that he has a good shot, so the raptors are hoping he's the next Dirk N.
But European players are often airheads when it comes to defense and soft when it comes to rebounding, so I figure he'll be the next Toni Kukoc.
Maybe we're both wrong though, and he will become a new Dirk, but only after flopping around aimlessly on the court for a few years and getting dumped by Toronto.

I thought Tyrus Thomas (athletic ability and rapid improvement of his game) and Adam Morrison (competitive fire and scoring touch) were probably better choices for the number one spot, and perhaps LaMarcus Aldridge (size and post play) too.

no if i were them i would have traded the pick for a versitaile good young SF and an off the bench C.
