If you eat lots of yogurt and use over the counter drugs, but it's always best to see a doctor because it may not be a yeast infection. It's hard to distiguish between a yeast infection, and STD(which can cause permanent damage), or a bacterial infection (which can also cause permanent damage if not treated)

All I can tell you is I've never had one clear up on it's own. I've had lots of them due to taking antibiotics for one thing or another. Now whenever the doctor gives me an antibiotic I have him give me Diflucan too. That keeps me from getting one. It's also possible that you're being reinfected by your sexual partner (if you have one). It's called the ping pong effect. You give it to him, he gives it right back and it goes on and on. It doesn't happen that often, but yes, men can get yeast infections too.

Yeast infections often clear up on their own without treatment, usually when menstruation begins. Menstrual blood raises the vaginal pH, causing the number of yeast cells to decrease because they can't grow in the pH present during menstruation.
If bothersome you need to see your physician.

Nope I'd say do a wash with 1 1/2 glass of water and a cap full of vinegar (not much more or it will burn you down there.
