I know this may sound wierd, but from my experience and from a friend's, if you have lots of heart burn during the last months of your pregnancy it could mean lots of hair. I thought it was wierd when my nurse told me that my heart burn could be caused by lots of hair, until my son was born. Sure enough a headfull of long brown hair!!!

I just had a mixed baby and he did have a lot of hair, but that does not have to do with being mixed. The amount of hair at birth really has to do with genetics, and so it could go either way. Once they are born they loose most of their hair anyway, so the majority of that hair was just baby hair.

It doesn't depend on baby's nationality, but baby's genetics. Did you have a head full of hair? Did he?
If it's any consolation, most hair present at birth is going to slowly shed over the course of a few months, anyway! Trust me! I'm a L&D Nursing Student to Be

My husband is hispanic as I am. When you see hispanic babies they are born with a full do. One of my four babies was born with a lot of hair. the others were born with little to none. It just depends on the mother and father personally and not so much on the race. Just like there are bald black men and bald white men as well as bald asians and bald hispanics.

I am white and my daughters daddy is white. One of our children was born with lots of dark hair. The second two were born with very little hair.
My sister is white her husband is black. Her daughter was born with a lot of hair, her twin sons (a month early) were born with a fine layer of black hair.
My friend who is white and the father of her kids who is black, her children were born with lots of hair, very unique in the fact they had curly red hair! Their hair is the most beautiful I have every seen!

Well I'm white & so is DH and my baby had so much hair @ birth that we could put it in piggytails. I think it's the individual's genetics at work there, not the race.

Hi there! A friend of mine in college was white and she had a black husband, and they had a baby girl who was very hairy and curly. =) She was the cutest thing too. When she brought her by the school a few months after she had her, she was already dressing her up in bows. =)

That is an ignorant question. How old are you and why does it matter?? Everyone is different. There's never any guarantees that just because a child is of a certain race or ethnicity they will or won't have certain physical characteristics.

Has nothing to do with mixture. It is about genetics.
