Honestly and I'm sorry if this sounds rude, but get a life and have more respect for yourself.

By keeping this up you will lose something important in yourself along the way, and possibly destroy something beautiful that somebody else has that you may regret doing anyway later on.

There isn't an easy way of getting over him. I've never gotten over anyone who has broken my heart, even after the fact, when I've found a better person and have been happier.

I don't think you should focus on "getting better." Just focus on being at peace with something you have no control over. You will get over him and you may find someone much better someday.

Avoid just finding anyone to make you forget about how you felt. Don't get revenge on another guy and break his heart the way this one has/is broken/breaking your heart.

Learn from what happened, and focus on pampering yourself and licking your wounds a bit. Do things to keep your mind active and when you do feel down, try to even focus on that and understand and accept that you are only being human.

I'd be more worried for you if you didn't have any feelings about what has happened. Start with that seed of positive esteem and let the rest grow.

The "root" of who you are is clearly a good person. You just have to "prune" that little broken heart of yours and just move on and continue to grow.

It'll make you a much better person if you spend some time understanding it.

Wish you the very best!!!

Stop talking to him daily, that just feeds your dependeccy and his ego/control. Remind yourself how gorgeous you are and that he was lucky that even for a while you gave him the time of day, but now you are moving into the grown up world where self reliance, self worth and self respect are paramount. As for the feelings you think you have for him, look closely at them and realise that they are only an illusion, that come from relying on him for emotional support. and maybe friendship, The reality is that they will go away, he is a heel and you deserve much more from life and relationships, Any relationship which causes one to rely too heavily on the other is not equal and the dependency created saps ones self confidence and feeds the others ego unhealthily.

You need to stop talking to him completely it just makes matters worse for you and put your mind elsewhere to try and help you forget him. An evening class, go to the gym, a new hobby charity work. Also a female friend was in a similar situation so what she did was changed her look completely, lost a small amount of weight, bought new clothes, had her hair done. she looked amazing. She wanted him to see what he was missing but also show that she didn't need him in her life anymore. He tried to get back with her, she was having none of it and that made her feel a bit better that she could dish out some of his own medicine. Good luck.

Its VERY hard, especially when you did everything you can to try to make it work. As long as you know that in your heart that you can look at this 5 or 10 yrs. from now and know that was nothing that you could of done different to change the situation than that may help your mind heal. What I did to keep myself busy after the breakup was I taught myself a foreign language. It kept me busy and I was able to take my anger out on that because it's hard to discipline yourself like that. Im no one to talk because Im dealing with this at the same time but like they all said....time does heal all wounds. Take care of yourself!

Hi,xxxdragonfly,
Try not to talk to him on a daily basis unless it's unavoidable.
Get out more with your friends.
Make new friends.
Smile a lot- it builds confidence.
Don't dwell on the past- if everyone drove their cars while looking in the rear view mirror at where they've been all the time, they'd never make it to where they want to go!
Go find the guy meant for you- he's out there, waiting......
Good luck x

Believe me he's not worth it, remember the bad things about him, and get rid of the rose coloured specs and find some one else, it can be fun in itself making a change.
