Your son comes first. Tell the boyfriend. If he walks, it's his loss.

Well your son is your first priority so don't let anything get in the way of what's best for him. It was a mistake not to tell your bf but since you didn't, you need to take him out alone and tell him that there is something you haven't told him because you didn't know how he'd react and that you hope he understands. He's going to be upset so allow him that don't try to change that. But ask him what you can do to make it up to him. But remember, your son needs to be your priority no matter how your bf reacts.

i think i would be more worried that he would be upset about me not telling him thus far rather than the actually response to me having a child. The only way to tell him is to sit him down and be straight forward, he'll most likely be upset, but if he loves you he'll work through it with you no matter what. also his reaction should help you determine if you really want this man to share your life and your sons, boyfriends come and go but your son will be your son for the rest of yours and his life.

the best advice I can give you, is to go ahead and tell your boyfriend about you having a son... open communication is the #1 key to a relationship... even if the results doesn't turn out the way you wanted to... if both of you are mature enough, then hey ya'll can handle it safe... all you need to do is just to be straight up with him... and if he doesn't like it... gurl, it's time to focus on one thing that has become more than a reality in life, that is your son... establish a relationship, and start things fresh again... God sees the desires of your heart..... nettie

That's a huge secret to keep from a bf of a year. The sooner you tell him the better. He will feel betrayed by your lie but if he loves you that much he will get over it. Don't let him find out by himself accidently by coming over!! Sit him down somewhere quit. If you think he might blow up then do it in a resturant. If you think that he will be able to have a rational conversation with you then do it at your house or his. Good luck. Keep us updated!

well, you should of told him about it long ago!

the relationship obviously hasnt been going that good if you couldn't tell him about your own flesh and blood!

be prepared...sorry to say but it doesn't look good.

sometimes folks think that in order not to tell the truth they hide from it, which is denial and some look at it as not living in the truth... and may almost always get the reaction you fear the most.

however, if this guy has a heart of gold he might understand.

good luck.

I am glad you really love your b/f. But its almost like you dont love your baby boy. Thats just sad. If you loved your baby boy son you would have said something to ur b/f a LONG time ago. You need to stop being so selfish. Act classy not trashy.

You need to concentrate on your child. I don't understand why you havent told your boyfriend about Dylan, but he may not appreciate the fact that you kept it a secret. You have to tell your boyfriend and let the chips fall where they may. And you need to be the best mom possible to that little boy.

how much do you love yourself sweetie. never in a million years do you leave your son out of your checklist. im a man so let me be the first to say men will come and go but your son is stained in your heart forever at least he should be so screw your current relationship if it goes bad. youve asked for it anyway if the relationship goes astray.

No lengthy answer here for this question. You just tell him. If you must, invite him over and have him meet your son and tell him this is part of your life. I myself would be thrilled. Who knows, maybe you will se your boyfriends "true colors" if he disagrees with the situation. You have no choice but to just tell him.
