Could anyone explain to me how you film a subject ie: a person, looking into a mirror, without showing the camera. Also, can it be done without green screens?

Most helpful and thorough answer, as in, one I could actually use to film this myself, wins the points.

Thank you for your time!

By the way, there is no need to be insulting. I'm not dumb just because I haven't had any training in how to make films- this is the point of asking questions. I'm sure there are things that I find very basic knowledge that you don't know.

Thank you to all those who have been polite in their answers.

You need to shoot at an angle and have the person stand at the reflection, a bit like how a cue ball will bounce of a cushon its all to do with angles the nearer you go to the wall or the mirrors side then the person or object has to get closer on the oposit side....

in film they use editing on the computer the amount of technology they have these days is spectacular also sometimes they blurr the rest of the mirror apart from the object in front of it whether it be a face a bath anything also the cheapest way of doing it is filming from the side of the mirror

Put the camera behind scenery it only needs a small hole to film through.

I am guessing you would need to be at a slight angle rather than straight on, although I do recall a film where this was done but dunno how
