Well, let's look at this from another angle. Not as husband and wife, but as cop and citizen. Were you speeding? Obviously, yes. Did he indeed take an oath to uphold the law? You know he did, you were probably there. What would happen if he just let you speed on by and he was caught doing nothing? Would he get in trouble, maybe even lose his job? More than likely.
NOW..... is it wise to stop your wife? Maybe, but we're on shaky ground! The warning is better than a ticket, but he could have let you go, too. Depends on your local laws, you may have been in a stepped up enforcement zone. Is he gonna be gettin any sugar anytime soon? NOPE!!! He got a "warning" too! Bottom line is, like it or not, no one is above the law. Not you, him, or anyone else. But I know what you mean, I enjoy a certain amount of "diplomatic immunity" too in my job as a medic. Just another viewpoint from another angle for you to consider.... Have a nice day! (I hope he didn't say THAT!!!

He gave you a warning! He took an oath! He should have given you the ticket like he would any other poor schmuck. You have no right to be upset. You got caught dirty and got off with a warning.

Your husband did take an oath to uphold the law. You are lucky he didn't give you a ticket. If I were you I would keep an eye on the speed limits.

Everyone that said your husband was doing the right thing SHOULD be correct, but hasn't your husband ever done anything that was wrong? I'm betting he has, next time you catch him doing something wrong remind him or ask him if you should call a police officer to get after him. Wouldn't that be the CORRECT thing to do?
I honestly believe he should have said something to you, like be careful of your speed or something to that effect WHEN he got home. Not out in public.

"He had the "nerve" to pull you over and give you a warning."

OMG!

Hate to tell you this but "YOU" were wrong to be speeding in the first place and "YOU" were wrong to get your nose bent out of shape over him pulling you over.

The only thing he did wrong was marry someone that thinks that the law doesn't apply to her.

He just gave you a written warning? Any other Cop would have ticketed you. What you should do is, SLOW DOWN before you kill someone. He was definitly in the right.

Your husband is honor bound to uphold the law of the land.

It's sad that you cannot accept that.

Please obey the speed limit and also stop cooking crystal meth in the shed in your back yard and taking the five finger discount on bra's at Kmart.

Being the spouse of a law enforecement officer does not entitle you to special treatment.

He's right. You WERE speeding. Just because he is your husband doesn't mean he is not suppose to stop you. What if you would have been drinking and driving and got in an accident and hurt someone? Do you expect him not to do his job and not arrest you because he is your husband? Hey, he's right, he's doing his job, so SLOW down for now on.

He is right.....look, if you were not his wife, he would of given you a ticket. He actually disobeyed the letter of the law, but he kept the spirit of the law. you should be proud he took and oath, and kept it....You would think being "married", and "Oath" would mean something to you......

You both are: You are right for pulling over.hehehe and he is right for not giving you a ticket. Someday you guys will laugh over this. My sisters husband actually fired my sister when they were dating. We laugh all time what a prick he is. In a joking manner of course.
