yes it should be abolished. we shouldn't be paying it at all. in fact, the government were stupid to create and introduce it the first place. considering how much it costs, we expect better programmes in return for our money, sadly however the dross that is on our tv screens goes to show the money that has been gathered up has been wasted on such drivel and crappy programmes that we don't want and of which we had never asked for in the first place! and its too bloody expensive as well, the elderly folks to name can hardly afford it themselves.
the tv licence is a total con and a complete rip off. its not as if we came up with the ideas for most of those s***** shows anyway, so why on earth should we be accountable for paying it?

YES it's a con and the way they throw the licence fee money around makes me despair. It was a good idea when it started out keeping it independent of politics but the concept is now out of date and the beeb is sucking up to the politicians.

Definitely! Considering I can get BBC through SKY and am paying 40 odd quid for that, it seems very unfair as am theoretically paying twice. I never watch any of the BBC channels anyway, nothing really interests me on them and there are far better other channels on SKY to watch! I would rather BBC just introduced adverts to subsidise themselves.

I hardly ever watch the BBC channels and resent paying so much on a tv licence.

Absolutely.
Considering that most people are paying a subscription to sky tv and analogue tv is ending soon... Also the 5 analogue channels don't have much to watch anyway!
