my brother he is as tight as a camels a**e in a sandstorm he has his own flat but he does not put the heating on he has a small bottle of milk in his fridge he raids my moms fridge for food and he pinches rolls of toilet roll from my parents.he does not buy any 1 a bday card or xmas card and he charges me a fiver to take me to the shop(1min away in a car)when it pours down with rain to get my daughter her asthma inhalers.........................................

Scrooge. You can find out about him in Chas.Dickens book, Christmas [something]. Otherwise the next most penny-pinching person I know of is my wife. No you cannot have an ice cream, not even a very small one. We've got lots of savings.

Hey Thia,

Well you got a lot of answers, so, I am not even going to look at what they wrote.

My Great Grandfather lived in Nova Scotia. He had a pot to boil lobsters in he had all his life. The last half of his life the pot began to get holes. He plugged the holes with 2 metal washers a nut and a bolt. By the time he passed away, the pot was so full of nuts and bolts - well you get the picture. He was Scottish, so therefore thrifty by all standards.

My friend picks the grapes off of the vines in the grocery store so he doesn't have to pay for the weight of the stems, He also reuses his baggies instead of throwing them away when he is done with his sandwich.

My aunt who lived through the great depression was very frugal. She reused and recycled everything and purchased a lot of her stuff at yard sales. She died recently and left a multi-million dollar estate.

my grandma she never spends any money even though she has plenty she even shops at garage sells and at dirt cheap she also goes dump diggin as in she goes to the dump and gets things out of the trash it totally sucks around christmas time
