I use the tampex pearl and like them. I use regular when it is regular, and super when it is a little heavier. You may need a larger absorbancy. What I also do is wear a pantyliner, so just in case it does leak, it doesn't get everywhere. You may not have it in correctly if it leaks....read the little inserts in the boxes to make sure it is in right....or ask your mom!

It is OK to up-size to super tampons for couple of days when the flow is really heavy. I am very locked into Tampax brand. I do not like the platex plastic inserters. The Tampax applicator can be flushed, and is also availabe in a compact that it easier to carry to school.
If you have trouble inserting, use a tiny bit of vaseline on the very tip of the tampon.
The panty liner idea is good for back-up.

a couple of different ways to handle this. A) ask for your mom's help. Or...go a size bigger. If your using regulars and having leakage then you probable need it. OB's are made to fit a womans body regardless of size. OR if you are uncomfortable going a size bigger, then use your regular tampon with a small pantyliner. Good luck :-)

I use Playtex pearls, and they get the best leakage protection of any other tampons that I have tried. For really heavy days go with a super, and for moderately heavy days go with a regular. They have the mixed pack that gives you supers, regulars and juniors. I suggest you get that and use the juniors on your really light days.

Have you tried using a panty liner along with the tampon, the tampon will collect a lot of the blood-flow and the panty liner will serve as a barrier to catch the extra leaks!

I'd try a bigger absorbency, same size, but go here

The pantyliner thing helps, but get the really really thin ones so it's comfortable
