I am finding more symptoms to be signs that I may be pregnant, but there is one in particular that i am a little confused about.
Spotting.
What exactly is it like?
I had an experience a few days ago, where i wiped after using the restroom, and there was some blood, but then that was it. No period or anything. Can this be described as spotting? If not, how does this differ?
Thank you =)

That's spotting. But with the pregnancy tests available now, there's no need to wonder. Get yourself an at-home early predictor pregnancy test, or go to a clinic and ask for a test to be done there.
I hope you get fabulous news!

I spotted some for about a week. I found out that i was pregnant about week 9 and spotted about week 10 or 11. I was told that as long as it wasn't heavy your OK. If you think that you may be pregnant get a pregnancy test take it and then schedule an appt. If you come back positive its 100 accurate there is no chance that you aren't unless you miscarry. If it comes back negative but you still feel like you might be pregnant wait a couple of days and try again!!

Spotting can result from pregnancy, stress, emotional episodes. I wouldn't worry too much about it, if you are young your body could just be going through changes/adjusting.
If you are unsure your best bet would be to go to your GYN Dr. for a check-up ask to have a pregnancy test done if you really think you may be pregnant.
Even if you are pregnant you may still have episodes of spotting very mild, but you should always get checked if this happens while you are pregnant to rule out any complications from the pregnancy. Good Luck.

i'm pregnant 5 mo and had a micarriage in march...my spotting and bleeding with the miscarriage kept on and on and got more and more after 1 week i finally went to the hospital...with this one i had a spot and then nothing...but this was when i was like 2 1/2 months or so... so i would go to the doc in a few weeks if you are still experiencing symptoms...spotting is like the last days of your period, when you don't use a tampon but need maybe a pantyliner...and everyone is different...good luck!

Hi, you don't say how many weeks you are...but what you describe is spotting and more than likely nothing to worry about. If you are before 12 weeks and the spotting gets heavier and you get cramps it could be a threatened miscarriage so take it easy. But you should be fine, its a very common thing. Good luck!

Spotting can be a sign of implantation. If you are actually pregnant it could also be a sign of a silent UTI, which can also happen in pregnancy. I would take a home pregnancy test and rule that out. Then if you are make an appointment with your health care provider.
Good Luck

With my last three pregnancies.. I had a 3 day period. You may bleed some when the egg attaches to the embryo wall. I wouldn't worry about it unless you are certain you are pregnant.. then Id set up and apt with the obgyn.

I'd just like to say that I don't think that spotting is a typical sign of pregnancy.

Spotting can be just a few drops or it can go on for a few days. It's usually brown.
