Did he know that he was upsetting you when he did these things?? It sounds like he didn't. If they bother you then you need to be straight up and tell him. If he is your friend he won't be offended (unless you get an attitude). Just sit him down and tell him what you don't like. He can't stop getting on your nerves if he doesn't know what annoys you...

Tell him that you are going to be honest with him and that he should not feel offended. Tell him that he is invading your space and it is kinda making you violated. The truth is that you got to be honest and he is bound to take things the wrong way but it is either your happiness or live in total despair in your own house. If he respects you then he will understand your point of view and will try to make things right. Best of luck amigo.

In this case, you have to tell him without thinking about "how" you sound because, you are in the justified position. Going through people's things is a total no no. So be firm with him and let him know how you feel. Don't worry about his reaction, because he is the bad guy here.

He doesn't seem to have any problem offending you so why should you care if you offend him. If you don't tell him that these things are bugging you then he will just keep doing them. Is his friendship important enough to you to put up with this abuse or are you willing to risk it in order to improve it.

He is obviously an insensitive type so you haven't a hope of not offending him..He is the sort who is totally self-centered ans any criticism would offend him, no matter how small or justified. Dump him fast.

Men are assertive in most cases. We take initiative, and mst time we don't ask permision.
Most of the excuse goes to the way we were raised as kids.
But if you want him to get the picture, invade his privacy like he is doing to you.

Tell him the truth and don't worry about offending him because he didn't respect you when he was going thru your bag, or your phone etc.

Be honest. Tell him that you were upset because you did not have any privacy. Tell him you were not trying to be mean but you didn't know how to react to the situation and that's why you were so grouchy. It's really hard to explain.

Tell him you are use to having things the way you want it, so didn't like the way things worked out when he was staying with you!
