How safe are we from another potential threat? Has increased security helped prevent attacks like 9/11? What do you think we can do to help prevent terrorism not only in America but other countries that have been devistated as well?

No such thing as safe. Not as long as a generation of Muslim children are growing up thinking we are satan. Can we change that? Not in our life time. Can we protect ourselves? Sure, we have to start thinking like the Brits did when the IRA was setting of bombs every month in England or like Israel has been doing for the last 100 years.
I met a Hindu from India, he said it was better for his country to be run by a dictator rather than a bunch of warlord muslims and criminals, at least they (dictator) will force some of us to go to school and educate ourselves. The option was an ignorant generation! Reminds me of the Conspiracy Theorist hanging around here.

There is only one country in the world where I think it would be safe from terrorist attack...........North Korea. Do we want to live like that? I don't think we can ever be totally safe from another attack, I'm sure it's inevitable. We can do more as far as homeland security, probably a lot more actually. We could try to stop chasing terrorists all over the globe and concern our efforts on our own home front.

No. Nobody is really safe anywhere. Nobody wants to deprive people of cars, although more people are killed on the roads than in terrorist attacks. It's all a question of perception.
The people who are screaming for increased security, i.e. loss of privacy and freedom for ordinary citizens, are either misguided or have an agenda.

No--no country will ever be ocmpletely safe from terrorists becasue no matter what, people are going to hate other people for one reason or another.
and increased security's help has been minimal. ie: the recent liquid bombs.
the closest thing to a solution is to pull anything hostile from another country. but this may also result in loss of contact with loved ones.
so, basically...the world is doomed to the idiots who call themselves terrorists.

I think we are pretty safe. Not because anything we did, but because Ithe terrorists plan all along was to strike once (9-11) and let America stress out over it for years to come.

Let's test it . . we could box up a container of U.S. soil, drop it off in any given intersection in Fallujah and train a hidden camera on it. Terrorists generally prefer a moving object I imagine but they might also get excited at the prospect said box might contain a gameboy or an iPod, and, upon discovering it's just dirt, may be provoked into an attack on the soil.
Then again, we can always save the postage and just await another Timothy McVeigh.

We're not safe... we never were. 9/11 wasn't even the 1st terrorist attack. Nobody cared that much about terrorists when it was just Timothy McVey or the Unabomber doing it.

Presently no country is fully safe from the terrarist attack but I know perfactly US is too capable to remove fully from terrorist if president decide once its much clear i am confirm and no one can even talk and any objectin too and due to this he can capable to use any country also and perhaps it will be done definetely near future as I am a master in the tantra and i know perfactly
