Mary gets Crowned in Heaven during the "Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary" (Aug 15). (Revelations) "A great portant appeared in the sky, a women dressed with the sun, with the moon at her feet, and twelves stars above her head." Since Mary isn't God, she was the first to be saved (Body & soul) and taken directly to heaven without dying. We rejoice and pray that Jesus will Assume us all to heaven too.

May was dedicated as Mary's month. This custom originated from Italy. Every day there is a special devotions to Mary. Originally, the coronation was on May 21 but was later moved to the octave day of the feast of the Assumption that is Aug 22. This memorial celebrates the same month that is highlighted by the 5th glorious mystery or the Rosary.
