Here is my vampire poem. I hope you like it.

I was leaning against the lamp post
waiting for the light to change
waiting for my life to change

I looked at my watch
exactly on the stroke of midnight
he appeared oozing charm
(Did you ever meet a vampire
that wasn't charming, disarming?)
He ordained to appear at that time
How could he appear any time,
but the perfect time

The vampire took my hand
"Don't be shy"
"Well, of course, I am shy
You are my first vampire
and I don't know what to say or do"
He said, "I know you
and you are going to tell the truth"
"Really, you know me"
(How could anyone know me)
Of course, not believing a word
smiling the smile of tears
smiling my fears
smiling the smile of the damned

slipping I said
"I never shared my deepest thoughts with anyone
I have been alone so long
Please let me tell you everything"
The vampire smiled with glee
as he watched me bleeding
He said there's plenty of time for that
from time to time
we'll have a nice chat
over a cup of warm blood
ah, the taste of intimacy to come
is just the usual, dead fraud
