What type of miner? If it's a coal miner, maybe because his lungs are already black. Other miners...probably not because they are still in pretty good health.
If you meant minor, then no.
Great wordplay. I think some here forgot the category this question is under....

A coal miner or a gold miner? I wouldn't to a coal miner because he would already have lung problems - like the black-lung disease but a gold miner uses tons of water and I don't believe there is that much dust, so yes, I would sell cigarettes to a gold miner which would surely be over 18 years of age. I would point out to him/her the Surgeon General's warning on the side of the pack though. Good Luck!

A minor, no. In Canada you can get a huge fine for that. A miner, yes, when I used to work in the grocery store I used to sell cigarettes to people who work at the mines all the time. They smoke a lot. I always felt bad about selling cigarettes to anybody, but that was part of my job.

Sure, but don't let them smoke while in the mines. Certain natural gases can sometimes fill up the shafts and cause terrible explosions.
Now, as far as selling cigarettes to minors, no that is against the law. But, if they want them they'll get them don't worry.

Yes, I'm always glad to contribute to the delinquency of a miner. If he or she's a coal miner, a good, healthy protective layer of tar to coat the lungs can be such a welcome lifesaver.
[ At the risk of appearing to be a ninny, I must comment that if most of these are the types of answers one obtains from the "wordplay" category, I shudder to think what responses my dearest Princess Die would get in the republican or special education categories. My deepest sympathy, Princess, and the same goes out to the cerebral flatliners. Your best hope may be with Dr. Kevorkian. He DOES make housecalls. ]

No, But I got in trouble for GIVING one to a miner.
You see, I once had a long platonic relationship with this homely miner girl. Then I got a job working at the same place. One day there was a spark between us and things blew up! To make a long imaginary story short; her boss caught me and her smoking after I was digging in her tunnel on company time. She ended up hating me for giving her the shaft and I got fired for contributing to the delinquency of a miner!

Working in a mine is very hard on the lungs so I would not sell cigarettes to a miner.
Now, if a minor came in to a store where I was working and wanted to buy cigarettes I would not sell them. It is against the law to sell cigarettes to minors and I wouldn't want to get a huge fine, especially if it wasn't my store.
Perhaps stores should not ever sell cigarettes!!

I wouldn't sell them to anyone. And a miner is a person who works in a mine; a minor is a person who has not reache the age of majority.

Perhaps to a miner, even though they are killing their lungs being in the mines, but that's not illegal. I would not sell cigarettes to a minor though, because that's illegal.

Since a "miner" is someone pulling out coal or gold or silver, etc. from the ground, certainly.
If you mean a "minor" then I would not.
