I agree with electron, you talk like a total newb. no one on the inside calls them crotch rockets. they are sportbikes or streetbikes. and if you're such a newb as to be calling them crotch rockets, you certainly don't need to be worrying about getting whichever has the fastest top speed and acceleration, you need to be worrying about which is cheapest and which has more abundant parts available (ZZR, F4i) you certainly don't want to be looking at brand new generations of 600's like the gsxr and R6, cause if you crack or rash anything, you'll be hard pressed to find parts for em. But then again, maybe you have no intention of riding a bike... you're just interested in knowing which is fastest???

Unless you are a track hound, you're not going to get close to reaching the performance limits of any 600cc sportbike on the market.
If all your worried about is going fast, then do the rest of the sportbike community a favor and stay in a cage,i.e. a four wheeled vehicle. Our insurance rates are already high and sociological view of sportbike riders poor.
The slowest 600cc sportbike can easily hit 140mph, stock off the showroom floor. Anyone off the street with enough bravery can do that.

you talk like a newb. they are all about the same, you will not notice the difference between a honda or a suzuki. they are all equal, buy whatever you think looks the best, if you still want a crotch rocket but cheaper insurance check out the kawasaki zzr 600

If the stats a few questions up are correct, then you can see that there's not much difference between them.
I recommend you get hold of some mags, or online articles, that discuss the differences between them, if you're trying to decide which to go with.
There are many other factors that are more important than speed which'll help you narrow down your choices. Such as ergonomics, riding position, price, colors, handling....

I used to race sportbikes...and I still call them crotch rockets.
The 636 is the fastest, unless on a track then the honda is a little faster.

They are all fast, but a Kawasaki 636 is probably the quickest, because of its slight size advantage. I would skip all of them and move up to the gsxr750. It is as easy to ride as a 600, and a lot faster.

If you are interested in a 600, then you may want to get a 750, a gxsr. youy will grow tired of the 600 pretty quick but a 1000cc may be too much bike for you to start with. good luck!
