Romeo Montague killed himself because he thought Juliet was dead, but she really wasn't at the time!

Romeo of the House of Montague.
Grief-stricken over the apparent death of his beloved Juliet, Romeo drinks a strong poison and dies next to her body. "Thus with a kiss I die." But Juliet only seemed to be dead. When she awakes and finds her beloved dead, she stabs herself with a dagger and dies. Ah, tragedy.

Romeo was a Montegue, Juliet a Capulet and he found Juliet "dead" and drank a poison. She woke up found him dead and stabbed herself.
