I am currently trying to conceive and if I have a baby girl my boyfriend and I have agreed on the name Trinity-Lynn Skye (last name Byer or Tennant, haven't decided which of our last names to use, or both).. I just wanted to know if the name was popular or what people's first reactions are to the name ..Thanks so much.

I saw a girl on MTV once named Trinity. I remember thinking it was a nice name.

Go for it! As its still somewhat not as popular as other names like "Madison"....

Trust me, its wayyy better than APPLE...LOL.

I liked the name when I first heard it and think it would sound good with either last name. I don't think it is popular.

Just out of curiosity, have you changed your last name? I think that the baby should have the same last name as the mother or hypenated name of both. I had known other people who have kept their maiden name and given the married name to the child and it makes things confusing when filling out paperwork etc. for the child and knowing who belongs with who if you know what i mean.

There's a Trinity in my son's pre-school class. I have heard that the name is gaining in popularity for two reasons, one that religious names are becoming popular (Trinity: father-son-holy spirit) and because of the "Matrix" movie.

I like it, but I think it will become a bit trendier in the near future.

Sounds like a mouthful to me...I think you should drop the Skye...it is cheesy. Lol I like trinity, but in the end it is up to you and don't forget it!

I really like it. My daughter's middle name is Skye. Name her whatever you want. Be careful, you may change your mind when you are pregnant or after she is born. The name may not fit her.

It is definitely not a popular name. It's nice because it's different. But you should think about a boy name too incase you have a boy...

dont worry about popular, think about what you like. too many people go for whats popular instead of what they like. it is, by the way, a pretty name. on another note, when i had my daughter, nik'ell, (the first three letters of my name & the last three of her father's name), my mother almost killed me when i gave her his last name. she said that unmarried women who give birth to girls are supposed to give them the maternal last name.....but thats old school, do what you think is best.
